Venice Pavilion. Biennale Architettura 2025
At the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, the Venice Pavilion hosts Libraries. Bildung Venice Intelligence, a concept design and a research-based exhibition developed by Università Iuav di Venezia. The exhibition maps and systematizes the intelligence of Venice through its dense network of libraries, distributed across the urban territory. The exhibition design—developed as an epistemic apparatus—spatializes a new library, projecting the image of Venice as a bibliopolis: an archipelago of knowledge infrastructures embedded within the fabric of the city. On one side, a wall of data and books—collectively structuring Venetian intelligence—immerses the visitor in an obsessive accumulation of information. On the other, a continuous super-studiolo operates as a working device, facing the multiplicity of Venetian libraries while hosting a dedicated book series on ongoing research at Università Iuav di Venezia, published for the occasion and available for consultation in situ.
