Relitto. Cinque spin-off per la Scala dei Turchi
The Mediterranean is made up of wrecks. The Scala dei Turchi, the white cliff located along the southeast coast of Sicily, is one example. The natural monument known for its political, social, cultural and natural vicissitudes is formed from a white-colored marl: the Trubi, a Pliocene geological formation of pelagic origin consisting of planktonic and deep-sea micro and macro fossils. Five projects for five spin-offs from the current narrative about the Scala dei Turchi propose contradictory scenarios, stretched between fiction and reality, to reason about the role and fate of the Mediterranean natural monument. The jumps in scale, cultural, political and social controversies staged make the white meridian paradigm of the territorialization of the Warm Sea.
